Another cool breeze sweeps across this winter night
and goosebumps crawl up my skin,
I'm much too tired to put up a fight
So this icy chill creeps within.
I fall dead to the world and my face is numb
My breath lingers in front of my face,
In the back of my mind I know I'm coming undone
A steady decrease in my hearts pace.
A gloomy state of mind
Is not that hard to find
Do you see me?
I can't see you.
My sight slowly fades
This deep sleep invades
And I'm laced with this cold residue.
As I gently drift away
I can still hear you say
Are you ok? Are you ok?
Are you there?
My body shakes, My lip quivers
My teeth chatter and I shiver
Im awake, was this really just another
Nightmare?
