Welcome

Welcome to the shortest and most informative tutorial you will probably ever see on the internet (maybe). This tutorial covers only routers that can support the standard version. Also, this tutorial will tell you how to put DD-WRT on your router with the least chance of "bricking" it. Bricking comes from your router not starting (power light won't stop blinking) and it basically becomes a paperweight. If this happens there are ways you can try to "un-brick" it. Anyway, let's make sure you have to correct router. I have a WRT54GL v1.1 which is supported. To see if your router is supported, look it up here. Now we will be installing DD-WRT v24. It's not a good idea to put beta firmware on your router because you will have a better chance of "bricking" it. So let's get started.
