I don't usually write poems, but this one was for school, yes I know it doesn't rhyme, it doesn't have to in order to be considered a poem, and it's the first and probably last poem I write.

There is a person I know
Who used to be a friend
She would talk to me like a friend
And we would talk about a lot of stuff

Then came a conflict
Then our friendship was lessened
She would not talk much to me
Only just a simple hello

Every time I tried to talk to her
The problem only got worse
Either I was saying the wrong things
Or I was not listening

In the future, I will try to make friends with her
Because I think we can get along
But right now I should leave her alone
